FIGURE 1: Summary of the signalling pathways and stimuli which regulate the yeast-to-hyphae mor-phogenic switch in Candida albicans. Several different pathways are responsible for inducing the yeast-to-hyphae switch: MAP kinase pathway (green), Cyr1-PKA pathway (blue), pH response pathway (red), and matrix response pathway (orange). There are also two pathways which negatively regulate the switch: Tup1-Nrg1-Rpg1 pathway (purple) and Rbf1 pathway (grey). The signalling pathways that engaged in response to different conditions to regulate the yeast-to-hyphae morphogenic switch in C. albicans are also indicated.
